Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve – the cleanest air in Europe!

Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve in Vitebsk Oblast is the largest complex of pine forests mixed with bogs and fens, as well as river floodplains — an undisturbed corner of taiga woods, lakes and rivers. About 50 hectares of mires now unique for Europe are there. About 60% of the territory is occupied by bogs. The river Berezina flaws over 100 km through the territory. About 35 bears live in the Berezina reserve. Other wild animals  like elk, bison, wolf and lynx are guaranteed to be seen at a distance of several meters in the zoo of the forest.  The reserve is claimed a Wetland of International Importance,

The park offers you well equipped hiking trails, cycling rides or paddeling kayak tours through the Berezina water system, walking on bear trails, watch tower to see the panorama of bogs. Naliboki Forest is officially called the area important for birds (here you can find 29 species of birds, among them are Kingfisher and Lesser Spotted Eagle). At the moment trip to Naliboki Forest is included in most travel programs. It is difficult to find the analogue territory in Eastern Europe with such exclusively range if animals, birds, fish, insects, plants and mushrooms.

Every year Berezinski Biosphere Reserve accepts about 25 thousand tourists. Hunting, fishing tours, visiting the open-air cages with annimals, walking in the marshes, tours for children groups, hiking on an ecological route, boat riding along Berezina waterway are available here.
